HORN HANDLED SILVER WHITE METAL BREAD FORK Not Hallmarked
All this item misses is a silver hallmark but it is of true quality with lovely decoration. One of the best that I have seen. The well fixed and good condition handle is 8.5 cm in length. The circular grooved collar is complete with a serrated frill which terminates in a ball. The twisted main stem is attached to the three pronged flat tines. The shoulder of which starts the pierced and etched work of a central flower and leaf covered stem. The etching appears to be engine tooled. The metal is not magnetic. The weight is good.
Overall length: 22.5 cm 8 ¾”
Early 1900s. Great gift.
