English Bone China 2 Cake Sandwich Plates 6 Side Plates 18th/19th Century MONA
Unknown Factory or Maker? It might be from William Mortlock & Sons, 18 Regent Street London. It is not known what caused the demise of the company but as the Mortlock family dwindled so did the company until it finally closed in 1933
Sandwich Cake Platters x 2
Condition: No chips or cracks but the gold in places has rubbed off.
Width: 9 1/2 inches (24.5 cms)
Side Plates x 6
Condition: One has a tiny chip on its' edge otherwise gold rubbed in places on all of the plates but excellent condition.
The red stamp (as shown in picture) depicts 'Mona' above a bulbous crown underneath a swirling elaborate W which may stand for Worcester but I cannot find any similar markings!
Colours: Cream background with royal blue, orange, green, red and gold.
