SOLD WITH THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:
1. Hole punched card keepsake - '8th June, 1946 - To-day , As We Celebrate Victory, I send this personal message to you and all other boys and girls at school.... signed George R. I.' on the reverse 'IMPORTANT WAR DATES' finally ending with 'MY FAMILY'S WAR RECORD'. This has child scribbling pencil marks, which could easily be erased but some may prefer to keep. The bottom corners are creased but otherwise this card has remained in very reasonable condition and may just be a collectable for the future if not now.
2. The Illustrated London News - May 22, 1954, "THE FACE AND VOICE AND HEART OF ENGLAND"... No. 3 in a series. With a wonderful write up on the ROYAL YACHT BRITANNIA and advertisements of the time amongst other articles. Unsure whether this is without its front jacket or the presentation of the time. A few torn pages but nothing untoward.
3. THE ILLUSTRATED LONDON NEWS - CORONATION CEREMONY NUMBER - PRICE FOUR SHILLINGS JUNE 6, 1953. Complete but front cover could do with a little TLC. Wonderful black and white photographs of the great day amidst so much pride and pomp..............
